Ebisu is an elite Jounin tutor; he also serves as the personal tutor to the Third Hokage's grandson Konohamaru.
Like many in the village Ebisu saw Naruto as the Kyuubi himself. Over time though Naruto's hard work impressed Ebisu and he acknowledged that Naruto could be a good role model for Konohamaru.
